We are excited to catch you up on what has been happening through your support of the Camp David ministry. We recently added Esther Robinson to our team as our Media Manager, and this is the launch of our new monthly email newsletter.
This past weekend we had our first Jewel Warrior / Family Retreat here in Kansas. The retreat included 20 women, plus 10 campers from four Camp David families. During the weekend, one single mom shared that her church had asked her not to bring her children to the kids’ program anymore because of their issues. Tears streaked her cheeks during the mom’s ministry times as she was able to just sit and receive. Meanwhile at the other end of camp, her 5 kids were being loved on by their counselors. The kids rode horses, did crafts, played games, sang songs, and her two youngest trusted Jesus as their Savior.
Below are some pictures from the retreat and more ministry news. On behalf of all of the women and campers, I want to say a big thank you to all of you who help make this precious ministry possible.
Gratefully,
Benjamin A. Smith

Children of prisoners are likely the most vulnerable children alive today. But their parents' sentences don't have to be theirs. We have found a week of camp can be a life changing experience, as these children find their true identity and discover that they are never alone.
