Photographers Job Description

 

Age: Photographers, Videographers 16 years and older

 

Reports To: Media Manager during the day, Staff Coach at night.

 

Who You Serve: The entire Camp David ministry

 

Responsible For: Taking pictures and filming the camp experience.

 

Main Goal: To capture the camper’s special memories of camp so they can take home scrapbook pages to show their family and remember their happy moments and new friends. Another goal is to get photos for promotional materials for Camp David.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Spend time alone with the Lord and pray; complete your staff devotional every day.
  • Attend morning staff meetings so you are aware of what is happening each day.
  • Be ready for each event with the camera and plan how you will capture the events. Get group pictures on Monday afternoon. Also get pictures of staff with campers (giving hugs, hanging out) and pictures of all staff from Wranglers to Kitchen Help.
  • Take an individual picture of each camper at these events: horseback riding, swimming, birthday party, field games, holding petting zoo animals, craft time and during hang out times.
  • Be sure pictures and videos are clean and decent.
  • Recharge batteries between events so they are ready when you need them!
  • Download pictures on camp computer OFTEN so the photo album people can use them.
  • Fill out Camp Evaluation on Friday afternoon.

Office Help Job Description

 

Office helpers can volunteer for an entire week, or as part-time help. As part-time they would be able to go home each day, and can just come out for half a day or three days per week.

 

Age: 16 years and older

 

Reports To: Office Manager or Media Manager during the day, and Staff Coach at night (unless they are not residing at camp, in which case they would just report to Office Manager).

 

Who You Serve: The campers, staff and CDO ministry

 

Responsible For: Completing office and computer tasks that support the camp program.

 

Main Goal: To serve the Leadership Team, Camp Staff, campers & their families, and camp donors through the office. To be courteous, organized, and have a servant’s heart.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Spend time alone with the Lord and pray; complete your staff devotional every day.
  • You can attend morning staff meetings so you are aware of what is happening each day.
  • Office personal usually make phone calls to campers, print name tags, make journals, send out transportation letters for camp, and whatever else needs done.
  • Photo sorters go through hundreds of photos each day, deleting the blurry ones and sorting the good ones into folders for the albums.
  • IT people try to fix all the computers, printers, internet and help wherever needed in the office department.
  • Fill out Camp Evaluation on Friday afternoon.
